Offices are open on non-holidays from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Persons making the application require a current government-issued photo ID to complete the process.
Birth records are used for school enrolments, employment, background checks, and medical purposes such as identity verification and date of birth. However, under Nebraska’s Revised Statutes § 71-601, known as the Vital Statistics Act, birth records are only available to:
- The person named on the record is aged 18
- A parent or legal guardian
- A person with a court order
- Government agencies or a representative with a legal order
Adams Death Records
Applicants seeking Adams County Death Records can access them through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Note that records are restricted to only the deceased's parent, spouse, or child.
